I have worked on this BBC flagship series for several years now. Whether filming Amateurs, Professionals or Celebrities - "it doesn’t get tougher than this!"
I have worked on the last five series of Love Your Garden. Do I have green fingers yet… sadly not, but I have learnt to always plant in odd numbers!
I have been fortunate to have worked on all ten series of Great British Menu (Sound Supervisor since Series 5) where the United Kingdom’s top chefs battle it out. I’ve never eaten so well!
I was Sound Supervisor for the final of Child Genius 2015 managing an audio crew of eight.
The children maybe genuis’ but could they mix over 36 audio sources live?… probably!
"Have yourself and very Merry Berry Christmas, may all your cakes be light. From now on your troubles must be out of sight (of the camera). Have yourself a very Merry Berry Christmas now” (Sung to the tune of “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas")
I travelled the length and breadth of the UK with Britain's top television gardeners as they attempted to save the nation's rich gardening heritage.
I joined Alan Titchmarsh on his search for the best back gardens in Britain in celebration of his 50 years as a gardener.
I once again joined George Clarke as he presided over the Shed of the Year Final where the world of designer style, glorious eccentricity and truly amazing spaces to live, work and play in know no limits.
I was Sound Supervisor for Dream.On. where myself and a crew of six Sound Recordists followed Terry Venables and Wembley FC (on and off the field!) on their quest to win the FA Cup Final.
I have worked on several series of this flagship BBC series where ambitious entrepreneurs seek to demonstrate their commercial insight and business sense to stay out of the firing line.
I followed Jeff Wayne and his band on their journey to bring the musical version of The War Of The Worlds to the stage. What a journey is was...
I was Sound Supervisor of Project Catwalk for Series 1-3 of this popular Sky One series where a group of fashion designers compete against each other to avoid being "the next fashion victim”.
I own a total of twelve wireless microphone kits (4x Lectrosonics and 8x Wisycom) as well as additional transmitters for wireless booms. I own radiomics that operate on UK specific (606.500-613.500Mhz) as well as world-wide frequencies (470-798Mhz).
I hold a valid shared wireless license issued by Ofcom to operate my radiomics, wireless hops and IFB’s/IEM's within the UK.
I own nine Timecode Systems timecode devices (5x Mini TRX, 3x WiFi Masters & 1x TX) that provide accurate, perfectly synced timecode and metadata. I also own two Tentacle Sync miniature timecode devices for when space is a premium.
My Lectrosonics IFB kit includes eight beltpack receivers that come with either headsets or covert earpieces. The kit also includes a press-to-talk microphone which is ideal for director to cameraman comms.
Over the years I have built up an enviable collection of sound kit - too much to list! - so my sound kit can be tailored to fit your budget and filming requirements.
In the unlikely event I do not have the kit required, I have accounts with all the major broadcast sound hire companies where I can hire at competitive rates.
After graduating from Kingston University with a First Class Honours Degree in Music (I majored in Music Technology) I worked as a Sound Recordist & Boom Operator for the facilities house TX at Shepperton Film Studios and BBC Birmingham (Pebble Mill).
